Portego / 2025

Crafted from hand shaped corten steel plates, and decorated with brass details along their edges, this collection of furniture and sculptural objects blurs the line between utility and pure spatial expression. Each piece is shaped with smooth, deliberate curves and planes, inviting quiet interaction rather than demanding use. The corten steel surfaces are carefully finished with a living patina -and subsequently coated- that will evolve over time, deepening their character and connecting them to the environments they inhabit. These are not merely functional objects—they are meditations on balance, presence, and permanence. Designed to engage with space rather than dominate it, their gentle, architectural forms evoke a sense of calm and continuity. Portego’s collection takes its name from the large entrances of Venezia’s buildings. These pieces are meant and designed for outdoor use, due to their gentle roughness.
